Review | Essence Soo Glow! Cream to Powder Highlighter
For the record, I love drugstore makeup. Not only it's affordable, but I've also found that the variety and quality of products have increased lately. We here used not to have highlighters in our drugstores like Watsons and Guardian but now we do, and one of them is Essence Soo Glow! Cream to Powder Highlighter. I bought it for only RM16.85 and it was the last one left on the shelf so I snatched it up because I had been wanting to try it for quite some time.
Review | Bio-essence Miracle Bio Water Sunscreen
Moderately priced water-based sunscreen.
Board spectrum.
Non-greasy, non-sticky and leaves no white cast.

Review | Freeman Facial Clay Mask - Avocado & Oatmeal
So yep! I'm back with another review featuring a product that I've used steadily for nearly a year now. I first noticed Freeman products when Michelle Phan showcased one of their masks in her video tutorial. She was using the Cucumber Peel Off Mask but I thought of going for the Facial Clay Mask with Avocado & Oatmeal since it's targeted for oily/combination skin.
Product Empties | #7 (2015)
Oh, HELLO DURR EMPTIES POST!
I thought of writing one and posting it a little early than the usual since I've finished more bits and bobs than I expected. From bodycare to skincare, I think I was doing a great job finishing the products before replacing them. I also went travelling a lot since Eid, so I've been testing some samples and I cannot wait to throw them all because my 'empty basket' over here is building up and crowding my wardrobe.
Review | Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
This kind of product isn't anything new to me since I've been using liquid primers on my eyelids for years. Primers are used to keep our eyeshadow on even longer and stop it from creasing. It also helps in making the colour to appear more bold and vibrant. Some primers are tinted and they can act as a colour corrector so that our lids will have a neutral base. One of my latest product to try is from Urban Decay and it is the Anti-Ageing Eyeshadow Primer Potion. Funny thing is, I wasn't intended to buy the anti-ageing formulation but I took the wrong one by mistake and only realized it at home, -_-
Well, nevermind!!! I thought it'd be interesting to try out although I'm not that old to worry about my anti-ageing skincare regime. xD
Review | Revlon Colorstay Foundation
Okay guys, today's post is going to be this one foundation that I absolutely adore, but sadly, forgotten.
Why?

DIY | Bottled Nebula
I got inspired after watching Michelle Phan's recent DIY video and I just had to try making it myself.
Top 5 Current Favourite Beauty Gurus on Youtube
Hi again, guys. Today I thought I'd do a little round-up of my Top 5 current favourite beauty-related channels on YouTube. I wrote a similar post nearly 2 years ago so if you want to check it out, click here. Narrowing down to my Top 5 favourite channels is a REAL struggle because obviously, I have more than that. I started learning tips and tricks about makeup by my own without taking any formal courses, so I do subscribe to a lot of beauty gurus that come from various countries around the world. Although I'm currently not as addicted to beauty videos on YouTube as I was years ago, I still have my favourites that able to get me excited each times their videos shown on my feed.
Without further ado, here are my 5 recommended ones that I ALWAYS watch without fail.
Review | Sleek Blushes in Coral & Flushed
Yo!
Apologies everyone because I haven't posted something in a week, I've been really busy! (busy tengok YongPal) heheh.
Today I'm going to write about the blushes from Sleek MakeUP that I bought earlier of this year. Sleek is a UK based company that produces relatively good quality makeup at affordable prices. It's available via online at Sephora.my or previously known as Luxola.
Haul | Althea.kr - Korean Beauty, Cosmetics & Skincare
A haul I've been eagerly waiting for and it reached me last week. I'm excited to share this with you guys!
(also, NOPE! this is not a sponsored review)
Review | Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette
You know the feeling when you see something and right away you know need to have it? I always feel like that when it comes to makeup, especially for eyeshadows. It's simply because they are my obsession though I can be very picky in choosing them. Today I'll be reviewing a palette from Too Faced called the Chocolate Bar Palette that I bought for over a year now.
But first thing first, YASSS *Jaclyn Hill's voice* to myself because this long-awaited review has finally become a reality! lol. It's has been sitting in my draft since the beginning of this year as I just couldn't find the time to finish writing it!! Without further ado, let's take a closer look at my finding.

Review | Maybelline Pure Mineral Concealer
It wasn't all that long ago when I was raving about this budget friendly concealer in my Most Loved post.
Review | Catrice Velvet Matt Eyeshadow + Swatches (6 Colours)!
I was meaning to write this post when Catrice made their way to Malaysia's market early of this year but I had been trying out other stuffs until I forgot about it. Last February, I purchased myself a Catrice Velvet Matt Eyeshadow in the colour 040 Al Burgundy as I thought it was such a lovely colour that I would use quite often.
Review + Collab | Makeup Revolution Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer
Hi beauts! I'm continuing my second part of my collaboration with Rafydah who is blogging over rafydahouse. Read our part one [here] and [here]
Considering two years ago I barely own any lipstick, nowadays I keep hauling lipsticks and other lip products like there's no tomorrow. This time around, my friend and I decided to jump on the bandwagon and keeping up with the current trend of liquid lipstick. We decided to review the 'Salvation Velvet Lip Lacquer' from the brand, Makeup Revolution London.

Review | TheBalm Bahama Mama Bronzer
Bronzing products seems to be a hit or miss with me. They are either too muddy on my skin or are orange-looking. I also think that it can be tricky to shop for and even trickier to apply correctly. Like I've said in my previous bronzer review before, Malaysians especially Malays hardly to wear bronzer in daily bases. Most of us are naturally tan, so a lot of bronzers doesn't really show up on our skin. After seeing some of the bronzing products have been taken out of the market in the recent past years, I can definitely say that they were not being sold well.
Nevertheless, there's this Bahama Mama Bronzer from theBalm where you can get it at SaSa. Besides Benefit Hoola and NARS Laguna, I've seen so much hype around this bronzer that I wanted to try it out by myself. I got this around 2 years ago and it was, in fact, my first ever purchased from theBalm cosmetics. It took me a longer time than I thought before I decided to give this product a full review. Reason - I tataw contour. Haha. I really don't do well in contouring.
Now, let see how it fairs out and whether if it's worth all the glory.
Review | ST. Ives Green Tea (Gel Cleanser & Scrub)
I'm not much of a skincare person as I find myself always repurchasing the same items over and over again. While I like my everyday gentle cleanser from the brand Simple, there are something about the ST. Ives Green Tea skincare products caught my attention. I ended up picking the gel cleanser as well as the scrub from my local pharmacy, Guardian.
A quick note here, my skin is oily-combination. Sometimes I do have dry patches around my smile lines and my breakouts are occasional. I've tested out these for over the past 3 months. Read on to find out what I like and dislike about these products.
Review + Collab | Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Essential Day To Night
Holla!
This post is the part one of my collaboration with Rafydah. She's a fellow Malaysian beauty blogger who blog over Rafydahouse, so make sure you are checking out her page as well because her blog is full with super good makeup tutorials going on! After months of emailing and messaging each others, we finally came to a decision to review products from Makeup Revolution.
Makeup Revolution is already popular among the beauty communities for having some clearly dupes for high end brands like Urban Decay, Tarte and Too Faced. Rafydah suggested that we both took on Day to Night Palette and I thought it'd be a perfect ones to branch out from my comfort zone. I'm a warm/neutral eye shadow kind of girl, but ya know, I need some pops out of colours too!
Without further ado, here are my thoughts on
Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Essential Day To Night
Review | Essence Longlasting Lipstick + Swatches (10 colours)!
Yo, I've got another Essence product post for you!.....with more to come.
I still couldn't believe my previous post was my very first 'in depth' review on this brand when I do actually have a lot of their products. I find myself buying makeup from Essence way more often than any other brands available in the nearest pharmacy. Their prices are extremely affordable and I'm constantly impressed by most of their products. Unlike the previous lip glosses that I ended up not liking, this brand new launched lipstick from Essence is something I'd consider buying more of the shades. It is none other than the Essence Longlasting Lipstick. Priced at RM12.90 each, how could I possibly resist? It's so cheap that it would be rude not to buy!
Review | Essence MATT Effect XXXL Longlasting Lipgloss
I already love some products from Essence but I've never tried their lip products before. Basically, I found this Essence Matt Effect XXXL Longlasting lipgloss together with their well-raved longlasting lipstick in Watsons few months ago. The main reason I wanted to try this product was because of the mattifying effect as I did not own any matte lip glosses before.
Review | Collection Lasting Perfection Unlimited Wear Concealer
I'm back today for reviewing another makeup product which again, just like my previous post has been well raved in the beauty community. I couldn't resist giving into the hype and trying it out. The first month it was being sold (around May 2014), it took over the beauty lovers in Malaysia by storm. I remember went into Watson KLCC several times just to check whether the shade 03 Warm Medium was back in stock.
Without futher ado, here are my thoughts on Collection Cosmetics Lasting Perfection Unlimited Wear Concealer or also known as Collection 2000 Concealer.
The Holy Grail of Makeup Remover | Bioderma
I couldn't remember from whom I first heard about this product, but literally almost all gurus in my YouTube's following list have been saying good things about Bioderma. I've been a hunt for this famous brand in Malaysia ever since. Luckily, Bioderma is finally landed into our market somewhere around March 2014 and later is available exclusively for Guardian Pharmacy. I bought mine online and I went for this travel size which was pretty convenient at time. I didn't want to commit to such a large bottle if it doesn't work.
So here are my notes about Bioderma Sensibio H2O.
Haul | Get to Know Sendayu Tinggi Cosmetics
Earlier of this month, I attended Hijabi Doll Collection Launching Event at one of Sendayu Tinggi outlet in Melaka. It's a part of their road tour event throughout Malaysia in 2015. For those of you who's wondering, Sendayu Tinggi is one of the popular Malaysian brand when it comes to Beauty and Health Product. I remember seeing the founder of the company actively promoted their slimming and skin care products on TV3.
I feel so bad for not knowing Sendayu Tinggi released their own cosmetic line years ago. Then again I wasn't really into makeup and trying out new things from various brands until last year, kan? :) To be honest, I've never really noticed their products or have the urge trying out anything from their cosmetic line until I discovered Puan Yatie's Instagram and started watching her makeup tutorials on Youtube. Also, if you haven't notice, ST Professional Makeup is now one of the brand that can be easily find in Watson.
Without further ado, here's my haul from the Hijabi Doll Event.
Review | Etude House Play 101 Pencil
Etude House sometimes has this deal of buy 1 get 1 free and that was how I ended up with Play 101 Pencils. Let me be honest, I don't think a pencil type eyeliner like this worth the RM39.90 price tag (or RM46, as they have increased the price recently) but for 2, I would give it a go.
Last year in June, Etude House released a range of 50 multi-functional pencil of various colour and texture. They can be used for various purposed such as eyeliner, eyebrow, eyeshadow, lip liner, blusher, concealer and so on. Towards the end of 2014, Etude added another 10 new pencils making it altogether 60 colours in the line. A lot, right? I wonder if they are going to release more because after all, this entire pencil line is already being called as 'Play 101'. Well then, are these really worth the buy? Here is my review in detail.
Recipe | Lemon Drizzle Cake
Now, when was the last time I posted a recipe on this blog??!
bosan gila belog ni reviews je memanjang. ;P
So, if you have been following me for a while, you already know that I really like to bake. Last month (or last 2 months, or 3 months, omg I really need to stop procrastinating on my blog post), I decided to make a lemon pound cake since there were a lot of lemons in the refrigerator from all my grocery shopping. Then I remember about this post had been sitting in my draft since last year's September before I decided to update it.
The cake I made was inspired by Vivianadoesmakeup - one of the well-known beauty vlogger on YouTube. I can promise you this cake is really delicious, it feels so fluffy and moist at the same time. Cara nak buat pun kacang gilaaa, this kind of recipe is like you combine everything and dah siap, siapa yang malas boleh order dari saya eh tetiba.
Without further ado, here's my take on Viviana's Lemon Drizzle Cake.
Review | NYX Butter Lipstick
Hello beautifullll :)
Review | NARS Sheer Glow Foundation
I have mainly wanted to try NARS Sheer Glow after watching too many of Tanya Burr's makeup tutorials and being amazed at how it made her skin looked radiant and glow. Tanya Burr makes me buy this!
Product Empties | #4 (2015)
Hi beauties!
Guess what? I finally have some empty products. I think the last time I did a post like this was in November 2014 meaning I really need to start using more products!
I am so glad I can now finally throw these away, but first let me give you a little product rundown.
Review | Evian Facial Spray
I've been trying out a product called Evian Brumisateur Natural Mineral Water Facial Spray. You may recognize the brand since it is already well-known for being a bottled water company. I bought mine from Watson at a retail price of RM19.90. Sometimes you can get it during promotion at RM9.90. In my hometown, it is only available in a 50ml spray can although they have another 2 sizes of 100ml and 300ml.
Review | L'Occitane Angelica Hydra Vital Gel
I have been using Angelica Hydra Vital Gel from L'Occitane for over 7 months now as my daily moisturiser and that should be long enough for me to do a review on this product. It claims to give instant and intense hydration to skin - up to 24 hours. I have an oily-combination skin, which is why I choose this instead of their cream moisturiser from the same range. I also have with me a bottle of Angelica Face Toner and I will be reviewing it in a separate post.
Anyway, I was indeed looking for a new moisturiser and I thought of going for a gel type. After finishing the sample version of Angelica Hydra Vital Gel I redeemed from L'Occitane, I quickly went back to to the nearest boutique to purchase its full size.
First impression - It's so lightweight and refreshing! I have been on the search of a moisturiser that doesn't make my face feeling greasy and sweating. Could this be the right one?

RM8 DIY Brush Holder!
Hi guys! I couldn't remember when was the last time I posted a DIY blog post but I have one for you this week. I have seen this DIY brush holder on many beauty blogs and finally decided to try it myself.
I think everyone that have Real Techniques brushes for more than 2 years might face the same problem as mine - the black rubber holder of the brush become terribly sticky to the point other brushes will stick with it. This little trick saved my brand new brushes from looking worn because of the glue.
As always, I went to Mr DIY store to look around and stumbled upon this hari raya jar, haha. The one our mums always put kacang or muruku inside. I thought this would be the perfect size to store my small brushes. RM5.50 for a glass jar, so cheap!
For the beads, I used..
Review | Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow & Eye Liner Pencil
If you have been doing your weekly shopping at SASA stores lately you may have spotted some change in the cosmetic isle, and if you are a beauty buff, you would have heard of this famous US cosmetic brand - Wet n Wild. There were a lot of rumblings for the past months over my Instagram claiming that this brand is finally available in Malaysia shores.
People have been raving about stuffs from this brand because of good reasons - not only Wet n Wild makeups are affordable, they are also very good quality. If you are from Melaka, you can find Wet n Wild our DP's SASA. The selection of products we have over here isn't really overwhelming as the one in IOI Mall, but I think they are enough to cover most of the popular and well known items.
Not long ago, I got these Wet n Wild Color Icon Brow & Eye Liner Pencils for RM7.90 each instead of their original price of RM11.90 during SASA's End of The Year Sale Campaign. I decided to get 2 of colour that I thought would suit me the most - Taupe and Dark Brown. I looked up for more informations from Wet n Wild website, unfortunately they only state that this product is rich, creamy colour glides on smoothly without tugging, and it's also versatile.
So, are these true? Read more to find out!
Review | ColourPop Lippie Stix (Kathleen Lights - Lumiere)
I have been wanting to try ColourPop's Lippie Stix for so long! Colourpop is a cruelty free California based brand with all their products are made in USA. On their website, they offer various colour of lipsticks, lip liners and eye shadows for a price of $5 each.
When my favourite online reseller opened a spree for ColourPop, I knew I had to pick up this particular lipstick in the shade 'Lumiere' because the creator of this colour is non other than Kathleenlights from YouTube. I haven't been excited to purchase a lippie product in such a long time okay.. To be honest, I bought this lipstick because of her, not because of the shade. It's like - me, buying INFINITE CDs because they are INFINITE, regardless whether I'm going to like their songs or nahh. Get it, get it? (irrelevant comparison lol)
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN IF YOU HAVEN'T WATCHED KATHLEENLIGHTS VIDEOS?! *insert a fangirl emoji here*
So time for the ran down, shall we?
