The month is almost over and it's time for another empties/mini review post.
:)
1) Palmolive Ayurituel Joyous Shower Gel
When Palmolive introduced the Ayurveda collection, I was very keen to try it. The new shower gel can be bought in most typical pharmacies and stores like Watson and Tesco. To me, it had a strong fragrance that felt very sensual and relaxing at the same time, but I wasn't really a big fan. It took me forever to finish as I prefer to rotate my shower gel everyday depending on my mood. Well, I guess I'll be needing to learn my lesson not to buy any shower gel that comes in a big bottle, eh?
2) L'Occitane Travel Size Toiletries
I wrote a mini review on these not long ago, so you can check my other 'empties' post. I loved the shampoo but the conditioner wasn't moisturising enough for my hair. The body lotion has a combination of lavender, tea tree and geranium essential oils, although lavender is known of it's calming properties, this doesn't smell anything near to relaxing or calming. I find that the scent was really weird and I disliked the consistency either. It was so oily instead of hydrating, not something I would typically look for in a body lotion.
3) Soap & Glory Scrub Em and Leave Em Body Buff
I bought this product quite some time ago, but it was forgotten with some other products in my bathroom stacks. However, I dragged it out because I've noticed the life span of this product is 24 months and it would be a waste if I didn't use it. This body scrub is something I really enjoyed using, read my full review [here].
4) Himalaya Nourishing Cream & Honey Body Wash
I got a sample size of this at the start of the month when I purchased Himalaya Shampoo at Guardian. This body wash made no different to my skin, the scent wasn't stay that long on me and I didn't think it was nourishing enough. However, the scent was great, it felt powdery-ish, almost like the typical baby body wash and lotion. I usually like my body wash latter well on loofah but well... this just didn't.
5) Tesco Choice Disinfecting Wipes
Another 2 months, another bottle of this (or 2, since I've thrown away the first bottle). It's by far my most favourite wet tissue when I need an instant cleaning routine for my brushes. It has 35 sheets in the bottle and costs me around RM9+. It contains nothing but Alkylbenzyldimenthylammonium Chloride as an active ingredient, phew, lama tak guna bahasa chemistry ni asdfggASDFG.
Now onto skincares,
6) Etude House Pomegranate Face Mask
I believe Etude House already have a new packaging for this mask. Weirdly enough, although I like korean dramas, kpop musics, korean cultures and all those stuffs, I don't find myself fancy for korean cosmetics o_o. Nevertheless, I liked this face mask and would also recommend it. It's so rich with moisturising solution and it doesn't feel burning on my skin.
7) Papulex Moussant Soap Free Cleansing Gel
Papulex sent me this but for a sachet sample sized, it's so hard to tell whether the product would suit my skin condition. I can't comment much on it's effectiveness but does anyone know where I can purchase Papulex product in Malaysia? Papulex is originated from France, but I've yet to see any store or pharmacies selling this brand.
8) Clinelle Profressional Care Purifying Toner
I had to switch onto a different toner without finishing this since I was having some breakouts issues while using. I didn't see any reason for me to hold it any longer. For those of you who are curious, the toner contains Aloe Vera, Chamomilla Recutita extract and Allantoin to calm the skin. It also has Salicylic Acid and tea tree oil, which helps in treating ache as well as blemishes.
9) The Body Shop Seaweed Deep Cleansing Facial Wash
Designed for combination and oily skin, it claimed to remove impurities, makeup and excess oil. Now I hate having to throw out a product when I haven't used it up. Unfortunately, just like the previous product in #8 this skincare item didn't work well with my skin. It made my face feeling very dry and tight. I wouldn't recommend this for dry skin.
10) Cetaphil UVA/UVB Defense SPF50+
Save the best for last. I think I might have found myself a holy grail sunscreen. I was that close to repurchase the full sized of it until I decided to go for another France brand on the very last minutes. This sunscreen is specifically formulated as a facial moisturiser, which I agreed too since it didn't feel heavy or sticky. What's better? No micronize Titanuim Dioxide in it so you can say goodbye to white residue. I love the fact that the sunscreen is non-greasy, fragrance free, non irritating and also non-comedogenic, means it would not clog pores. Highly recommend, but if you are fussy about parabens, then this isn't a product for you.
That is about all of my recent empties. I hope you all had a good month. I started to watch korean drama after almost 2 years leaving it behind and wasn't able to finish any. So, this month I decided to watch 'The Girl Who Sees Smells' and I've been enjoying it. Nam Goong Min is a hot guy and I really like Yoochun, well who doesn't like him? dfghdfghjkl.
