CANMAKE Mermaid Skin Gel UV

My ever-glowing sunscreen collection has welcomed a significant amount of new products in the past couple of months or so. Most are new while some of those are re-purchase for various reasons. CANMAKE Mermaid Skin Gel UV is a product I'd straight away put it into my shopping basket whenever Guardian Malaysia is having their 50% cosmetics sale. Lucky enough, Guardian (and Canmake) has categorised this as base makeup, hence never place it together with sunscreen from other brands. You can find this often on top of the CANMAKE shelf itself.

One of the biggest gripes with mineral based sunscreen is the amount of time it can take to apply, thanks to its rich, often tacky texture. It would leave a significant amount of white cast if it's not being blended properly and this is due to the nature of inorganic filters formulated inside; Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide. Dr.G Green Mild Up Sun is one of the very few sunscreens out there that doesn't contain any chemical UV filters but it's still cosmetically elegant, suitable to be used under a lot of foundations. It's really good and I'm calling it my current HG.

Anyone in my personal life will tell you that how fanatic I am when it comes to sun protection. I'm back with yet another review of a sunscreen. This time around I want to feature a brand that almost all of us Malaysians know when it comes to sun protection. Many months ago Sunplay made an event where you can request a sample from them so I took the chance and received it without any hassle. The sample came in a 10g travel size.

I gave this ago for a 2-month duration period ( I didn't use it every day). Did it live up to my expectation and more importantly, did it deliver the results it promised? We shall see! Click more after the jump.

It's been the same old sentence, but just in case this is the first time you dropped by my blog, I want to tell you that sunscreen is extremely important. It's my number one skincare product, and it should be yours too. This time around, let's talk about body sunscreen. I got one from Guardian. Guardian is a pharmacy not just in Malaysia but several other countries too. They do have their own in-house skincare products that are mostly affordable and cheaper than mainstream brands. For example, this Guardian Sun Protection Body Lotion is only retailed at RM26.90 (around $7).

I'm looooooong overdue for an update. The last time I wrote, I talked about a face cleanser from Simple, and that was around a month ago. It's now September, and before I proceed with my #11 empties, here's a review of the sunscreen that I've been loving lately.

Sunkiller Perfect Water Essence- a sunscreen that really does feel more like a moisturiser when it goes onto my skin. I like it for daily use. Originally I was going to buy another Korean brand sunscreen but most of them were nearing RM60 without a sale and I didn't really want to spend that much. So I tried to find something that was easy to get at our local pharmacies.

The most moisturising sunscreen I've ever encountered so far!

Review | Bio-essence Miracle Bio Water Sunscreen

Moderately priced water-based sunscreen.

Board spectrum.

Non-greasy, non-sticky and leaves no white cast.
