It came out with new packaging and perhaps some improvements?
Hey guys, at first I wanted to make this post a super quick one just to let you know that Hansaegee Nature is currently re-promoting the Nature S+ Recover Gold Nano CC Cream- one of their best selling products from the brand but I realised I could never make my post super short, I always have something to talk about, let it be the review (because this is what my blog is all about), sharing makeup tips and tricks (though I'm nowhere placing myself in the expert league) and analysis the ingredients (can't help about this because I come from biomedicine background). So when I got the newest version of Hansaegee Nature S+ Recover CC Cream a couple of weeks ago, I was a bit worried because I've reviewed everything on the other post [link here] and thought what else I could possibly talk about without making this post sounded the same.
Turns out, I still have a lot to discuss!
I was told that apart from the packaging, net content and SPF level, this upgraded Nano Gold CC Cream is pretty much similar to the older version they came out with but I do personally think it has a lot to offers and deserves to be called as A BETTER SISTER. Curious to see why? Keep on reading.
Now, for a recap, let's look again at what it takes for a cream to be called as a CC Cream. In the beauty industry term, CC represent Complexion Corrector or Colour Corrector and this tinted cream often come along with skin-loving properties like SPF, hydration, skin brightener and antioxidants. CC Cream is usually lighter than BB Cream and it has a relatively formulated with higher SPF level. Meanwhile, Hansaegee Nature S+ Recover CC Cream is formulated and made exclusively in South Korea and it has several beauty claims such as colour-correct, UV protection, brightening and smoothen out the skin. I've previously talked about all these in my previous review [here].
THE REVIEW.
Major differences and comparison to the old packaging.
Noted that Hansaegee Nature CC Cream is completely vegan and a Muslim-friendly product. The packaging is now changed from being a plastic tube that came with a pump to something that is squeezable- sturdy, a better quality of plastic but firm enough to give out the product through its nozzle when pressed. Net content is 50ml, 15ml more than its previous packaging. I'd like to point out that despite this CC cream being stored in a squeeze bottle, the formulation is not runny, in fact, almost similar to before. Hansaegee Nature also decided to increase the SPF level from SPF35+ to SPF50+ PA+++.

Ingredients.
I noticed the formulation isn't 100% similar but core ingredients are still the same. By right, manufacturers are required to listed down ingredients according to the order of their concentrations and the first five ingredients typically become the bulk of its formulation. That is why I always find reading cosmetic label appears to be interesting and fascinating because it does say a lot about what kind of things I could be expecting from the product itself. For example, Titanium Dioxide (TiO2), listed as the fourth ingredient inside this Nano Gold CC Cream is a substance widely used in cosmetics formulation as a UV absorber and brightening agent due to its high refractive index and excellent opacifying properties. From this, I can tell that the CC Cream is apparently going to whiten up my skin.
Some people do seek for a whitening product when doing their makeup but some don't, especially among people with deeper skin tones. And to this, Hansaegee Nature already stated that their product will eventually resemble the original skin colour due to the presence of its tiny coloured pigments. I think the key word we are looking here is 'the correct application with right amount of product' and that is why in my previous review, I've stated my personal recommended ways of using it; the more you use, the more brighten/whiten your face will be.
Titanium Dioxide isn't the only UV filter found in the formulation, there are at least 5 other chemical UV filters working together to shield the skin from harmful sun rays and they are; Butyl Methoxydibenzoymethane, Octocrylene, Ethylhexyl Salicylate, Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate and 4-Methylbenzylidene Camphor. These UV filters are able to provide broad-spectrum coverage. Meanwhile, Niacinamide and adenosine are both popular ingredients for skin brightening.
Noted that the CC cream is also formulated with Colloidal Gold, which is basically gold in nanoparticles size suspended in a water medium. A smaller size of gold in low concentration is preferable because too much of it could lead to toxicity. According to [this] study of nanotechnology in cosmetics, colloidal gold is a luxurious ingredient that is often used in anti-ageing skincare products for its antibacterial and antifungal properties while [this] study over here mentioned that nanogold particles are able to help in improving blood circulation, skin rejuvenating and elasticity as well as reducing the formation of wrinkles.
I've run through the ingredient list on Skincharisma.com and noticed that the CC cream is categorised as fungal acne (Malassezia) safe, which I'm grateful of. It's also alcohol-free, sulfate-free and contained no EU allergens. For those who are sensitive to silicone, you might want to avoid this CC cream because Cyclopentasiloxane is used widely in the formulation.

Finishing and Texture.
I personally feel that the new upgraded version of Gold Nano CC Cream is more emollient and well blended compared to its precursor, making it easy to squeeze out from the bottle as well as easier to apply by using just fingertips. Besides that, it also contained a higher amount of coloured pigments (refer to the third picture below) making it much suitable for all skin tones, you cannot be easily overdone with the brightening effect. I find this interesting since the cream has a higher SPF level and Titanium Dioxide is used largely in the formulation yet the brightening effect is mild to almost nothing if you blend it correctly.
From above swatches, the colour appeared to be more yellowish/brownish, almost as opaque as a foundation could offer but not anywhere over the top. It's still the same lightweight cream that has a creamy consistency and appears almost sheer to the skin. Other than the one I've mentioned above, it's pretty much similar to the previous version so I won't elaborate further.

Differences in swatches. Noted that I purposely blended them lightly because I want the swatches to stay invisible. The new CC cream definitely has a lighter/glides on easily texture compared to the previous one. It also seems to leave minimal white cast due to stronger skin-like coloured microcapsules infused in the formulation. Definitely loving the newest one much more!
My Tips for using Hansaegee Nature S+ Recover CC Cream.
1. Use clean fingertips to warm it out and to break down the pigment microcapsules. Avoid sponge at any cost if you're using this CC cream alone but you can use a foundation brush if you want more of a brightening effect. Also, always start with a smaller amount and increase the usage if you needed more.
2. Bought a wrong shade of foundation? Use this to colour correct the shade and make it lighter. Much like a 'physical' sunscreen or a tone up cream, this CC cream contained titanium dioxide that would work well in lightening the colour as well as consistency.
3. You can also mix it with your own preferable foundation or concealer for greater coverage. Plus, it has SPF50+ and can act as a secondary layer of sunscreen. I would highly, highly recommend you wear a sunscreen underneath the CC cream because the cream alone won't possibly be enough block all the harmful UV rays because bare in mind this is a hybrid of makeup+skincare product and it's not purely a sunscreen. Having to say that, I wouldn't recommend you to apply this at night.
4. Storage- although the bottle is opaque, please keep it out from the sunlight and store it in a cool and dry place. Like most SPF based products, the heat from the sun can cause the SPF effectiveness to degrade faster.
5. This CC cream works as a makeup base. It brings intensity to eyeshadows, bronzers and blushers if you would to put this underneath as a base. This is due to its gripping and slightly stickiness properties.
6. Be creative! Mix a small amount of corally or pinkish eyeshadows into a small portion of the CC cream and turns the mixture into cream blusher. You can also do this using the lipsticks of your choice.
7. I personally think this CC cream would suit every skin types, unlike BB creams where they tend to be oily. However, if you have oily skin and want to make your makeup last longer, I'd recommend you to set the cream with a light layer of setting powder.
