Hi All :)
I hope you had a great November so far. I'm here today with a little review of the Stila In The Light Palette that I purchased a while back when I was first introduced to this cosmetic brand.
Firstly, let's start with packaging. The palette comes in a simple brownish cardboard palette with a nice, decent size mirror on reverse side of lid. On top of the mirror, comes with an inspirational quote, 'believe in the beauty of the future.' - Sarah Lucero. It has a magnetic closing, however I feel like it's a bit flimsy, doesn't feel strong enough and probably be worn out over time. No brush provided, hence some may find it less handy and less friendly for travelling. The size of this palette is little big than my palm.
In term of colour range, I love the selection in this palette. Very wearable for everyday look. It contains 10 neutral shades, 6 shimmery or glittery and 4 matte with a mixture of warm and cool tones so you can play around and able to create various kind of looks with one palette. In my opinion, Stila In The Light Palette would be a great alternative for those who doesn't want to splurge on Urban Decay Naked 1 Palette (RM188) as a lot of colours in this palette reminded me of it.
Shades include;
(1)Bare - Matte cream highlight shade; very buttery. Can be use all over your lid as a base.
(2)Kitten - Metallic champagne with pink undertones. So beautiful, buttery and pigmented, perfect for all over the lid.
(3)Bliss - Matte light brown shade. It's a transition colour, perfect for blending especially if you have a fair skin. It doesn't showed up that much on my eyelids.
(4)Sunset - Coppery brown with a satin finish.
(5)Sandstone - Matte mid-toned brown. Works the best for crease, however it does not as pigmented as the rest.

(6)Bubbly - Metallic pale gold. It's like a yellow-er version of Kitten.
(7)Gilded Gold - Light brown shade with shimmer. Less pigmented.
(8)Luster - Dark brownish-grey shade with shimmer
(9)Night Sky - blue colour on pan but when swatches, it's more like a shimmery light purply-grey colour with blue undertones. (lol, idk how to describe), but it's indeed very unique, I never have anything like this in my collection. I think the name suits the colour the best! ;P
(10)Ebony - Matte black eye shadow.
*Bare, Bliss, Sandstone and Ebony are completely matte.
(7)Gilded Gold - Light brown shade with shimmer. Less pigmented.
(8)Luster - Dark brownish-grey shade with shimmer

These shadows can be worn wet or dry. At this point, you may have heard beauty gurus raving about one particular shade; Kitten and I finally understood all the hype around it. No wonder it's the best-selling shade from Stilla! Kitten is indeed my favourite colour in this palette along with Sunset.
Performance wise - I personally think this palette doesn't have the best pigmentation from all the high-end palettes. I'd rated it 3.5/5. Sandstone and Gilded Gold take a bit of effort for them to show up. Matte shades are still really smooth, easy to blend, and doesn't feel chalky. All of the pigments last long over my lids with a primer underneath (> 6 hours!). I do like how well my eye shadow brush is picking up on most of these shadows, only a light dap on the pan is enough to cover the entire lid. I'm also amazed at how these shadows doesn't give any fall out! even with the shimmery ones.
As an added bonus to this palette, it also comes with a Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner in Damsel. It's a dark brown eye liner which can be use to create a smokey look by smudging it over or use it to fill in your waterline. Honestly, it could be black because it's that dark. I forgot to take a picture whilst swatching this on my hand, whoopsie!

Overall, I'd totally recommend this to someone who is looking for a nice neutral palette to build up their collection. It would also be good for beginner as the price is pretty a good deal. Nevertheless, if you're planning to buy just (one)! palette from the high-end brand, you might want to skip this and hunt for another item that offers a better pigmentation and colour pay off.
On a side note, I'm planning to add Stila Eyes Are The Window Shadow Palette in Soul into my palette collection. It's from their 20th Anniversary Makeup Collection for fall. Last week I went to Sephora and found out the item was not in stock and only left with Mind and Body. Should I wait? or should I just go for 'Mind'? =.= Urgh fall palettes are so gorgeous, it's really hard to choose!
