I Went Shopping
Judging by how many of you guys checked in here the last time I posted, there are still plenty of lovely readers out there still clicking and reading my content, so I thought I'd pop in again to share one of my latest shopping hauls. Yes haulS as in, I have two. One is from SkyAvenue Sephora that I'll be blogging about it today, second is from my recent South Korea trip.
Top Beauty Products Malaysian Makeup Artists Swear By
From working with celebrities for the red carpet to filming scenes, brides and grooms for their special days, models for their endless photo shoots and doll-ing up clients for various events- makeup artists do know their stuff and they are pretty much tote a lot of similar products in their kits. Here are a few products our local makeup artists swear by.
Review | A'PIEU Madecassoside Cream
Centella asiatica (which relate closely to 'madecassoside' and 'cica') has been a big beauty buzzword for a while now in the beauty community. It's listed as a notable ingredient in countless skincare products, for example, the ever famous Dr, Jart+ Cicapair range, Centella Blemish Cream and Ampoule from Cosrx, Etude House Soon Jung skincare line, Innisfree Bija Cica Baim, the newest L'Oreal Revitalift range, Cicaplast Baume from La Roche and also, this ingredient is inside the moisturiser that I'll be reviewing today, A'Pieu Madecassoside Cream. What's In My Carry-On Makeup Bag?
Right now, I'm toting my MK Jet Set Travel Messenger in Brown, a crossbody bag that I got earlier of this year and still thinking whether I have made the right decision of buying it. While it's pretty and looks expensive (hence the signature bag), I find that I always have troubles with how it works. The bag seems roomy but due to it having a smaller diameter, it doesn't have a lot of opening space and it's actually hard to put in a lot of items including a makeup porch. The porch needs to be smaller in size and the best if it can be flexible too. For this, I'm using my Rubi Everyday Cos Case in Rose Gold.
Haul | The Big Bad Wolf Sale #BBWMelaka2018
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale remains to be one of my favourite events of the year and now it's back, happening in my hometown. This sale is massive, with a lot of books coming from all the genres and even if you don't have the intention to buy anything, it's almost impossible to walk out from the sale without carrying one book or two.
Review + Ingredient Analysis | O'slee Honey Sugar Mask
It came to my realisation of how important it is to have a physical scrub in a skincare routine, I have missed it. I used to incorporate both physical and chemical exfoliators but due to the fear of having "micro-tear" on my skin (which I failed to find many journals about this), I then only allowing alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) and beta hydroxy acids (BHAs) to do the exfoliation works. While I'm still a huge fan of that method, there's something so deeply satisfying about the old-fashioned scrub. In this post, I'm going to review O'slee Honey Sugar Mask, which originated from Hong Kong and can be found selling in Guardian. Prior to this, I've used mostly the wash off scrubs from Skinfood, for example; Black Sugar Mask Wash Off, Black Sugar Honey Wash Off and Rice Mask Wash Off. I've also used St. Ives scrubs, regardless of whatever bad reviews they have on the internet.

Review | AQUTOP Perfect Clean Cleansing Foam
Having to be on a journey of discovering Asian Beauty (AB) brands for more than 2 years now, I've tried many kinds of first cleansers for my skincare routine but I just realised that none of the cleansers has made into a review. The last cleanser I talked about was from Simple, before that, was from ST. Ives and throughout these recent years, just to mention a few, I've tried cleansers from Missha, The Saem, Innisfree, The Face Shop, Hada Labo, Shiseido, and Bio-essence. AQUTOP is a brand-new to me. I've never heard the name mentioned before among my skincare buddies, probably because it isn't really a big name in Korean Beauty.
