Product Empties | #2 (2014)

Another month gone by, it's time to share my pile of empties. I love getting to the bottom of the product, just seeing all these empty bottles and containers makes me feel proud. I have to say that I tried hard to use every single of them in my stash until they're finished because I hardly even finish a product. So, take a look at what I used up for the last two months, my overall thoughts, and whether I'd repurchased any or not.

Here goes;

1. Himalaya Herbals Anti-Dandruff Shampoo
I loved this shampoo for the longest time! It does not well lather, but it cleaned just the same, or maybe better! ;P. Sulfate, Parabens and SLS free which is great if you're not a fan of these added chemicals. I love the soft, fresh, herbal-ish scent this shampoo left me and I don't mind paying extra penny for this (RM 25.00) because so far, this has to be the best shampoo that really suits my hair and scalp.

2. Natural by Watsons Argan Oil Body Scrub
I picked up this a while ago at Watsons (RM18.90) and have only last month managed to finish it up. I did not enjoy using this body scrub. In fact, I was so glad to finish up this because it was nothing amazing, and I love trying out new body scrub. The texture was too buttery to my liking and the beads weren't big enough to do the scrubbing works. Also, the scent stayed just for a while on the body after showering it off.

3. L'Occitane Essential Oils Shampoo and Shower Gel
Loved the shower gel but not the shampoo. The shower gel is bursting with lime scents, yet I didn't find any citrus on the product details. It was so amazingly refreshing, omg I can just fangirling towards this the scent. I need more, really need more. I wonder if it does taste good too ;P. JK. On the other hand, the shampoo made my hair looked dried and frizzed. Not a fan and the conditioner came together with these travel-sized bottles didn't do much on moisturising my hair.

4. The Body Shop Beurre Corporel Body Butter
I received this earlier of the year and it took me 8 months to finish it. I liked the thick consistency, non-oily residue, the moisturising effect and also the size of the container - perfect of office use and for travel but I just cannot stand the strong scent of this product. If I'm not mistaken, one of my favourite beauty vlogger, Essie Button raved about this product before. I'm looking forward to try on other body butter from The Body Shop (RM 25.00) but definitely not in this scent.

5. Avon Naturals Cucumber and Melon Shower Gel
Melon has to be one of my favourite scent so I had this love-hate relationship with this shower gel. I loved the scent but I hated the consistency - too watery and I had a hard time controlling the amount of it came out from the tube when I squeezed. I bought this when Avon had it's member sale so apparently this was a good bargain. I still have 2 bottles of this shower gel and it's something that I would repurchase.

6. The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash
Another month, another bottle of this tea tree oil facial wash. This 60 ml version of it is so tiny and cute. I always have this inside my bag. I featured this on my previous product empties post (here).

7. Herbal Essences Break's Over Shampoo
This was a decent shampoo and nothing worthy of a repurchase. I wasn't too keen of the smell and the actual result on my hair with this. Overall, it did nothing but only made my hair drier.

8. Antabax Antibacterial Cleansing Wipes
This cleansing wipes isn't exactly skincare but I used it to sanitize almost, everything. My phone, purse, handbags (oh yes I do), and makeup palettes. It's safe to use as makeup wipes though, as that is one of it's claims. I tried once, because I forgot to bring my Simple makeup wipes but this was too harsh on my skin.

9. Nivea Visage 3-in-1 Daily Deep Cleansing Exfoliating Wipes
These wipes were underwhelming. I used it only for 5 wipes out of 20 and the experience was far from pleasant. My skin stung way too much when in contact with this :( I felt like my whole face was burning and had red rashes afterwards.

10. Silkygirl Lash Curler Waterproof Film Mascara
This mascara was easy to use and I had nice, defined bottom lashes after using this. The wand was rather unique, with twisted and spiral short rubber bristle. However, this dried up pretty easily, and it wasn't really a waterproof mascara although it claimed to do so. It retailed at RM 16.80 at my local drugstore. Won't be repurchasing this since I still have another tube of it and other mascaras need to be use up.

11. The Face Shop Nail Dot Pen in Black and Silver
The formula dried up so it was no point in holding onto it any longer. They were like liquid correcter, same concept on how to use them, except that these were specifically designed as a nail art tool. Tiny pointed end, glided on nail easily, but the silver doesn't dries up easily compared to black colour. Are these still available in The Face Shop? Because if they are, I highly recommend you to get them - well, if you do nail arts. :D

12. Silkygirl Gentle Eye and Lip Makeup Remover
I've gone through yet another Silkygirl makeup remover. I repurchase this regularly especially during sale season because it is the most affordable makeup remover from the drugstore (RM15.90). Now, to be honest, I didn''t use this as a makeup remover but as a brush cleaner. I clean my brushes just like how I clean my face from makeup. Let me know if you want a separate post on how I usually clean up my brushes and sanitizes my makeup.

13. Maybelline Angel Fit Blush in Creamy Cinnamon
I've been searching high and low to get a blusher that has the similar shade with this because I think it has been discontinue by Maybelline - at least in my country. Creamy Cinnamon was a very dark, coral colour and had the tiniest hint of sparkle that will light up your face hence gave a very beautiful, gorgeous natural glow on my cheeks although in my opinion, it doesn't last that long. The colour just suited my skin the best! Loved this! Would repurchase if I could find one!

That's it for my July and August empties. Have you used any of these products I mentioned in this post? What did you finish up recently?

I always bought other face washes, but somehow always came back to this one, haha. I would suggest you to try the mini bottle of it first, sebab boleh tahan lah harsh dia on my skin (but it worked wonders, tho!) xD
