Product Empties | #7 (2015)

Oh, HELLO DURR EMPTIES POST!

I thought of writing one and posting it a little early than the usual since I've finished more bits and bobs than I expected. From bodycare to skincare, I think I was doing a great job finishing the products before replacing them. I also went travelling a lot since Eid, so I've been testing some samples and I cannot wait to throw them all because my 'empty basket' over here is building up and crowding my wardrobe.

1) Himalaya Herbals Protein Shampoo
I'm pretty sure I've spoken about Himalaya brand in my empties post before - it's one of my favourite! When I ran out of my previous Himalaya Anti-Dandruff shampoo, I thought I'd give the Protein Shampoo a try. Unfortunately I disliked it as it made my hair very dried although it said to be gentle for daily care.. and that's it, I won't repurchase!

2) Dove Hair Therapy for Hair Fall Rescue
This hair conditioner is certainly something I'll be buying for the rest of my life, lol! I heard a lot of amazing things about this product when I was researching for a conditioner that was cheap and effective. In the past I've tried Pantene, Sunsilk and few other conditioners from different brands but I liked Dove conditioner the best. Despite the texture is being too thick and creamy, it leaves my hair feeling soft and lightweight.

3) Watsons Exfoliating Body Wash Summer Berries Extract
I was unsure on this stuff before at first because I've used the Watson Argan Oil body wash and didn't like it. So, I didn't expect anything and only picked up because it was on sale for RM20 (2 bottles) instead of RM16 each. Maybe because of the exfoliating beads, this gel body wash didn't lather much as I thought it would but other than that, it was amazing! The berrries smell is very energizing in the morning and I like how it's hydrating but doesn't leave my skin feeling dry. Definitely will be looking for this again. Give it a try!

4) Dettol pH-balanced Body Wash in Lasting Fresh
Another body wash I've finished recently. It smells like cucumber and melon, although it doesn't have the latter in it. Well, that reminds me of the body wash from Avon that I've raved before. I have mine here in 250ml bottle and tbh, I could finish this in a week!! Macam tak berbaloi kan?! haha. I recommend this scent and also the olive and argan oil body wash that I featured in my previous empties post.

5) St. Ives Green Tea Gel Cleanser
I reaalllly didn't like this. I hated how it made my skin felt super dry. Y'all, kalau cleanser tu drying, lagi berminyak lah muka kita. Get it, get it? As an oily-combination girl, I always get tempted to use a cleanser like this because of the super clean feeling that I always get afterwards, but this will only lead to more oil production. I've reviewed this earlier together with the scrub, click [here] to read. Will I repurchase? No. I would rather find something that doesn't have Sodium Laurent Sulfate as the 'main' ingredient.

6) Daiso Charcoal Mask
My Daiso Charcoal Mask went past it's expiration date so I guess I've to let it go. It's something that I'd recommend getting if you're at Daiso. This stuff is amazing and effective that it's always sold out whenever I go to my nearest Daiso. Melaka kecik, and I have like 3 Daiso stores near me and semua takde. Hish.

7) Etude House Magic Bubble Peeling
Another beauty product that went beyond the expiration date. Why am I still keeping all these stuffs? OTL. I emptied this till half and didn't use it anymore that it became forgotten. Not going to repurchase since Etude House is getting expensive with their prices and this peeling lotion didn't do much for my skin.

8) Sephora Happy Bubbleday Body Lotion
Limited Edition Strawberry scented body lotion! and I'm literally crying over here thinking where else can I get this stuff again. This was my first time trying the body lotion from Sephora and it did not disappoint. It did a great job keeping my skin soft and hydrated without feeling sticky and greasy.

9) Veet Hair Removal Cream for Sensitive Skin
Now onto hair removal and I finished up a tube of this before repurchased the big version of it. I disliked the smell but it didn't irritate my skin whatsoever while being super effective. I would recommend it and regularly repurchase.

10) Etude House Lemon Mask Sheet
I generally love face masks from South Korea and this isn't an exception. The 'I Need You, Lemon!' mask is designed to brighten and clarify the skin tone, but well.. ofc I couldn't test whether it does any of the claims because I've only used this once.

11) Etude Huse Juicy Pop Tube
I bought this product long time ago because I wanted a basic, no-coloured lip gloss but then it went bad and I couldn't finish it. Not going to repurchase since I have tons of other lip glosses at the moment. I wouldn't recommend either, it's very sticky like you're putting some glue on top of your lips instead of a lip gloss.

12) Maybelline theRocket Volum' Express
I still have another tube of this mascara because I got it during the 'buy 1 free 1' promotion. I wasn't a fan of it though.. Why? read [here].

Alright, we are almost there! For the past months, I've been trying a lot of sample products because I do travel a lot. I only use samples when I'm not at home because they are easy to travel with and doesn't take a lot of storage. I used up the Clinelle Whitening Day Cream and also Bio-Essence Face Lifting Cream. Not good, as my skin was very fussy with these two and they eventually gave me irritation. I also finished with the Intense Replumping Serum from Uriage and I look forward to purchase the full size since serum contained hyaluronic acid and peptides is very hard to find in our drugstore! Egyptian Magic All Purpose Skin Cream is a popular product, but it's one that I don't understand the hype about. I used it over my face and I broke out. LOL. So at the end, I used it as a lip balm and I guess that worked well.

Biore Perfect Cleansing Water is another hyped product within the Malaysian beauty community and this time I completely understand why. It smelled nice, removed my makeup and didn't irritate me- good enough to make me purchase the big bottle. Last but not least, I finally finished with the Sunsilk Instant Smoothening Cream that I got for free from a magazine and also the Wella Professional Enrich Shampoo. My problem is I don't even know where can I repurchase them both.

Lately I am a little busy with things in real life and I'm also kind of....entering my k-pop fangirling mode again - which means less time to blog, less time to read blog. Loool. I'm still trying my best to keep up with the blog feed so that I don't get off the track too much. :D By the way, it's Eid Al-Adha tomorrow in Malaysia so Happy Holiday guys! No, not yet! Wonder if it worth the hype. Usually Maybelline mascaras doesn't really work well on me. I pakai tak lentik. :/ I like Essence mascaras better! but most of them aren't waterproof, so after a while they will start to break down and sting my eyes.
