Argan Oil - The Magical Beauty Product I Swear By

This natural oil is simply a magic!
Why?
Read more after the jump.

Oils, especially from plant, are nothing new to the beauty and cosmetic industry. A lot of people use them in their daily skin care regime such as to moisturise and to remove makeup. Being an oily-combination girl, I admit I was a bit sceptical at first to use natural oil as my daily moisturiser as I thought it would make my skin feels even greasier than it already was.

Long story short, I was introduced to Argan Oil briefly by the founder of Argana and I thought why not giving it a try. Balancing oily skin, repair damage skin, fade scars, smooth fine lines, prevent premature aging are some of the claims made by Argan Oil. I've always heard the buzz around it anyway, everyone seems to rave over Josie Maran Argan Oil (which I do have and will review it separately) but as for today I'd like to write down my notes for Argana 100% Pure Argan Oil.
Those are real Argan nuts, my friend.

I tried it on myself for 5 months now and I have been completely blown away by the result. This thing totally does wonders to my skin and I'm not regretting at all for skipping my daily conventional moisturisers almost everyday just to give Argan Oil a chance. Now to the question why do I swear by this product;

BALANCING MY NATURAL OIL. Needs. to. caps. lock. Because it's true as what the claim is! It successfully makes my forehead less oilier over time! I used to wake up from bed with an extremely oily face and now my skin feels thoroughly hydrated with less greasiness. Argan Oil is capable in normalising the sebum production of our skin, so it gives some benefits to people with oily skin. Keep in mind that you wouldn't get an immediate overnight result. I noticed the improvement of my skin only after 2 months of using it consistently.

Argana Argan Oil has a lightweight and hydrating formulation. If you use it about 2 drops, the oil completely sinks into skin pretty fast just like most hydrating moisturisers. Bila pakai waktu malam sebelum tidur pun bantal tak stain. I also like to mix together one drop of Argan Oil with a pump of my go to foundation following the technique that Wayne Goss taught me- Oil With Foundation Technique.

Now, about treating acne and break outs, I have yet to notice any difference when I use it over my pimples so I couldn't comment much but overall, I strongly believe it does help the improvement of my skin. To date, after over 5 months of using, I have less pimples and like I said earlier, my face is less oily. My skin looks firmer and plumper! No kidding because people near me noticed it too!

Moving on to the brand itself. It's a shame that I've never actually heard of Argana before since they're also selling other Moroccan skincares such as Moroccan clay mask, black soap, silk cocoon, rose and lavender toners and many more. The founder herself is a Moroccan and she was such a lovely lady when I met her.

You guys know that Josie Maran comes out with 2 version of Argan Oil, right? I'd say Argana is comparable to the 'light' one in terms of smell and texture. Both smell slightly nutty, have lighter consistency and absorb to skin very wellI'm guessing that the processing method and the chemical compounds for both could be the same.

Price and availability - To be honest, pure, organic, natural oils aren't really budget friendly to begin with. I bought Argana Pure Argan Oil for RM130! The price is much more less than Josie Maran AO, but you know... the ingredient for both are the same! I got this from an exhibition but you can always buy it through Facebook, Email and Whatsapp. Unfortunately, 50 ml is the only size available, so I would say it's less friendly to travel with as it's bulky and the oil is in glass bottle.

Although the price for good oil seems expensive, you only need a few drops for your entire face. 2-3 drops of oil are enough as my everyday moisturiser. I really like the dropper too! Unlike the one from Josie Maran, Argana's dropper seems to hold the oil very well. Rindu tau nak pegang dropper sejak dah tak ada kena mengena dengan lab and research ni. ;P

I'm starting to dive into natural oils more further. I'd like to try Rose Hip next for treating scars and Coconut Oil to remove my makeup. I also would love to try the so called oil cleansing method. I think it worth to invest for natural oils, though they could be expensive. As fo Argana Argan Oil, yes! I highly recommend! It still wow me how a single ingredient can do a lot to my skin and I keep telling everyone about it until they thought I'm one of the Argan Oil dealer hehehee.

I've been doing oil cleansing with grapeseed for a while, but it is kinda heavy. I've been meaning to try Argan oil!

That's a beautiful dress. I could see that transitioning into fall/winter too with a cozy sweater, tights, and boots!

When ingested orally, conatural argan oil may cause digestive upset including nausea, gas, or diarrhea. It may also cause loss of appetite or bloating, and some people may experience skin reactions like rashes or acne breakouts. In very rare cases, people may experience more severe side effects to the argan oil oral supplement.
